Electronic discovery, or eDiscovery, is the process of identifying and delivering electronic information that can be used as evidence in legal cases. You can use eDiscovery tools in Microsoft 365 to search for content in Exchange Online mailboxes, Microsoft 365 Groups, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business sites, and Skype for Business conversations, and Yammer teams. You can search mailboxes and sites in the same eDiscovery search by using the Content Search tool. And you can use Core eDiscovery cases to identify, hold, and export content found in mailboxes and sites. If your organization has an Office 365 E5 or Microsoft 365 E5 subscription (or related E5 add-on subscriptions), you can further manage custodians and analyze content by using the Advanced eDiscovery solution in Microsoft 365.

Advanced eDiscovery
The Advanced eDiscovery solution in Microsoft 365 (also called Advanced eDiscovery v2.0) builds on the existing eDiscovery and analytics capabilities in Microsoft 365. This eDiscovery solution provides an end-to-end workflow to preserve, collect, review, analyze, and export content that's responsive to your organization's internal and external investigations. Install the Microsoft 365 Access Runtime The Microsoft 365 Access Runtime files are available as a free download in either the 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) versions in all supported languages. Decide which bit version you need. For more information, see Choose between the 64-bit or 32-bit version of Office. To install either the 32 or 64-bit version of Microsoft 365 or Office 2019, follow the steps in Install Office on a PC. Important: If you install the 64-bit version, but want the 32-bit version instead, you must first uninstall the 64-bit version before installing the 32-bit version. Office 365 32 bit. Select Office 365 apps to begin the installation. The 64-bit version is installed by default unless Office detects you already have a 32-bit version of Office (or a stand-alone Office app such as Project or Visio) installed. In this case, the 32-bit version of Office will be installed instead. Select the Office folder from the virtual drive and then double-click either the Setup32.exe to install the 32-bit version of Office, or Setup64.exe to install the 64-bit version to begin the offline installation. If you're not sure which version is right for you, see Choose the 64-bit or 32-bit version of Office. When you see the message, You're all set, you can.
